8.7/15kV XLPE Insulated Power Cable

XLPE insulated power cable uses chemical or physical methods to transform the linear molecular structure of polyethylene insulation into a three-dimensional network molecular structure. This changes thermoplastic polyethylene into thermosetting cross-linked polyethylene, greatly improving its heat resistance and mechanical properties, reducing shrinkage, preventing melting after heating, and maintaining excellent electrical performance.

Product Features

It features high permissible normal conductor operating temperature, simple structure, convenient use, and no restriction by laying elevation difference.

Operating Features

Feature 1The rated voltage is 8.7/15kV, and the maximum voltage of the AC system shall not exceed 17.5kV.
Feature 2The maximum long-term permissible operating temperature of the cable conductor is 90C. During short circuit, the maximum conductor temperature is 250C, with duration not exceeding 5 seconds.
Feature 3The minimum ambient temperature for cable operation is -10C.
Feature 4During laying and installation, the temperature shall not be lower than 0C.
Feature 5For single-core unarmored cable, the recommended minimum bending radius during installation is 20D.
Feature 6For single-core armored cable, the recommended minimum bending radius during installation is 15D.
Feature 7For three-core armored cable, the recommended minimum bending radius during installation is 12D.
