Product Overview

The XGN-12 AC modular SF6 ring main unit is a new-generation metal-enclosed switchgear using an SF6 load switch as the main switch. The cabinet body is processed from high-strength aluminum-zinc coated sheet by CNC equipment into a modular structure. It uses air insulation and reaches protection grade IP3X. It has a compact structure, flexible operation, convenient installation, multiple interlocks, high grade, miniaturization, complete parameters, low price and low maintenance. Operation can be manual or electric.

The product uses a three-position arc chamber with closing, opening and earthing positions, and is equipped with five-prevention functions. It prevents load opening and closing of the disconnector, prevents accidental entry into a live compartment, prevents accidental closing of the earthing switch, prevents accidental energizing of the earthing line, and prevents load operation of the main switch. The interlocking is reliable. The product has high insulation strength, large creepage distance design, pressure-protected outgoing terminals, special moving and static sealing design, advanced technical performance and flexible assembly schemes. It is a new-generation high-voltage switchgear for urban power grids.

Functions and Features

The SF6 load switch gas provides good arc-extinguishing performance. During current interruption, when the moving and static contacts separate, an arc is generated. Under the action of the permanent magnetic field, the arc rotates quickly, is elongated and continuously combines with SF6 gas for rapid dissociation and cooling, and is extinguished at current zero. The double-break opening has the insulation level of an isolating gap. The permanent-magnet rotating arc principle provides low operating force, strong arc-extinguishing capacity, light contact burning and extended electrical life.

Main Application

It is suitable for AC 12kV, 50Hz power systems and is widely used in industrial and civil cable ring networks and power terminals for receiving and distributing electric power. It is especially suitable for urban residential distribution, small secondary substations, small switching stations, industrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings, shopping malls, airports, subways, hospitals and stadiums.

1. Altitude: not more than 2000m.
2. Ambient temperature: -35C to +45C.
3. Maximum daily temperature difference: not more than 25C.
4. Relative humidity: daily average not more than 95%; monthly average not more than 90%.
5. Earthquake intensity: not more than grade 8.
6. The installation site shall be free from fire, explosion hazard, chemical corrosion and severe vibration.
